Although I initially liked the idea, I now find it quite inconvenient to have to switch back and forth between the Lotuflow3r and Prince Music and More forums - since some threads in PM&M are still about the Lotusflow3r event, such as the Purple ticket and the 3 winners' visit.

And how can we split up our conversation like this? Plenty of things that were said in the discussion on Lotusflow3r, the website, the possible concert, the new music, etc. had mentions of other Prince topics, earlier events, comparisons with past releases, concerts, etc. There is so much overlapping, how can we split things in two different places?
Did we make a different forum for his PE, 3121 and other phases etc?

That forum was formerly named "3121/NPGMC" (official Prince websites),
whereas now the new forum name reflects his new website.
I was wondering about that too, and how it might be difficult to differentiate what should be in which forum as well.
The purpleticket winners' threads, I was also wondering about.

It's just now a bit confusing, because the website is up and running (partially i guess and hope, different discussion).


The same happened in 2007 when the concerts forum was more crowded than the P M&M forum. after a while, things will settle down and the lotusflow3r forum will become more about the website and less about Prince and his music. give it a month or so...

As wildgoldenhponey pointed out, we already had the forum, we just updated the name to Prince's current official site. It hadn't been used in quite some time.

Use that forum to talk about how cool the graphics are, what new feature you found, how well (or not well) something is handled there, etc.

The Prince Music and More forum will still be for just that. For discussion of new music and such.

Thank you, wildgoldenhoney, remko and CarrieMpls, for the clarifications. I didn't know about the 3121/NPGMC site - or I may have seen it a long time ago but had totally forgotten about it. Anyway, it makes more sense now.

But I do hope things will settle and become clearer, like you said in a month or so, because right now I'm still commuting frantically between the two main forums to keep track of the new site, new songs, purple tickets, his home visits, possible concert, etc!

Considering that the website is currently the only thing there is to discuss regarding "Prince: Music & More" ... it seems a little counter-productive to shunt those discussions off into their own forum to make way for more of the usual asinine crap that populates the main Prince forum when there is absolutely nothing else going on.

I think the users of this site (the sane ones, anyway) would be better served by seperate forums dedicated to the endless "Post a picture of Prince wearing _____" or "Insane Pseudo-Political/Religious Rant #48998" threads, rather than those that are actually germaine to his career and output (i.e., his current website).
