Prince does not seem to have a problem with the org which has been running for years..so obviously there are reasons Housequake bugged him so much, I can think of a few
..but it seems he really took notice of HQ when Aaron was looking for donations from his members, and was making money to run his site | |

I notice some people are still mentioning the banner (including one particular smart-arse who's been saying "I told you so") but the banner was just a very small cog in the wheel. Aaron's mentally departed from HQ some time ago following the PFU events. Prince's request that no banners contain his symbol, face, or name was making it extremely difficult to keep the site positive for him and he decided to walk away. I'd actually talked about resolving the banner issue with Prince's team so to say "HQ deserved it" is both an ignorant and childish view. Gav, I am sorry U have 2 read all of this confusion about what happened. I'm wondering if it's the reading or comprehension skills that have apparently suffered here. Why R people still saying that Prince forced Housequake 2 close, when U clearly described what occurred, and more than once? Let's try THIS: 1) Prince provided official banners 2 Housequake, which Housequake used. 2) Housequake also used a non-official banner, which Prince asked 2 be removed. 3) Aaron removed it, and then decided that running the site just wasn't worth it any longer. The banner was simply a catalyst. 4) Aaron closes Housequake. Does Prince care that Housequake closed? We don't know, and it doesn't matter. I swear, it's like some folks don't realize that Prince has ALWAYS had a tight reign over his material...music, images, etc. The only difference now is the internet. It doesn't make him a bad person... it's just part of his personality. I think, as Gav mentions, Aaron has had enough 4 a while now, and was likely just running the site 4 the members, and not at all 4 himself. He did the right thing, and 4 his own well being. But, if it wasn't the banner that pushed Aaron over, I guess it would've been something else anyway. I thought maybe Prince had been lightening up since I'd noticed there were a lot of Youtube videos that had been up for a few months. But, I guess they were busy reading HQ posts instead.  | |
