New "Politics & Religion" forum

Hi guys,

As some of you have noticed already, there is a new forum on Prince.org - "Politics & Religion" ! Ben added it today and I thought I'd let you all know about it.

A lot of people here seem to want to discuss politics, current affairs, issues of religion, atheism, theology, racism etc. We're hoping that people will enjoy the new forum and we're also hoping to downplay the General Discussion forum somewhat - it can be fun, but it's clear it doesn't suit the needs and wants of everyone on the Org.

We won't be trawling through old posts in GD and moving them to the new forum, but from this day forth please post your new threads on the subjects outlined above in the new P&R forum.

Please note also that the same rules apply in the P&R forum as the rest of Prince.org - no flaming etc. Discussion regarding such sensitive topics as racism, war, politics, religion etc will always become a tad "heated" at times, which is fine - there's nothing wrong with disagreement and discussion if expressed respectfully and intelligently.

Cheers & enjoy the new forum

no. i really don't enjoy discussing politics on this site. i usually try to save it for the appropriate forum. a prince website doesn't quite qualify biggrin

To tell you the truth neither do I. I've contributed to a few political threads here, but none elsewhere on the net.

Well, for many Orgers this is the main site they visit each day. It's a "community" in the true sense and many people aren't coming here each day just to talk about Prince.

If you think Prince.org is an inappropriate place to discuss politics etc that's fair enough, but it is clear that there was a need and a desire for this P&R forum so we're just meeting the needs of our users.

lol I can see why! Because really you have nothing essential to say. If I was risking to show off as much ignorance as you do, I wouldnt enjoy that either.

oh but you do. all you have is some half-baked conspiracy theories to regurgitate all over the site.

i realize you're a reporter for some hotshot crackpot newspaper over there. luckily you wouldn't be able to make it as a reporter in America. over here, we have journalistic ethics. we don't fill up our newspapers with every bogus email penned by the nutjobs that make the rounds on the internet.

It's a good idea.
Now if you just would get rid of the "Org Musician Forum" AKA "Cloud 9 Mission Forum." I swear it's nothing but a commercial for his web site.

Such lies, I've read American newspapers and seen American TV so you can't fool me biggrin

Seriously though, can you guys (Aaron and Soulpower) just kiss and make up, or else just ignore each other? Getting a bit annoying to see your silly arguments spread across every thread on the site...

lol dude, you are so dumb that you dont even get that the US media is the first victim in the war of terrorism. Ethics? barf With every post you are outing yourself more and more as somebody who really has no fucking clue what he's talking about.
You are just like your president, man. Whenever somebody throws the truth in your face, you dont want to hear it and call it "conspiracy theory". Thats making it too easy, cuz you are simply trying to hide your ignorance behind big words. That would make me smile if you were not some sorry-ass individual with some serious self-respect-issues.
And fyi, over here we dont fill up newspapers with bogus emails either. We actually LEAVE THE COUNTRY to investigate where NEWS HAPPEN. While american media simply accepts and prints the information from the pentagon and white house bulletins without questioning it. In your country you are brandmarked as "anti-american" or "anti-patriot" if you question the authority. In your country you are paid for NOT writing what you know.
Go ahead and feel good about yourself, rambo. Lets just wait and watch global developments. You will find out I'm not so wrong.
Oh, one last note on US media. I know an american journalist with whom I have travelled through afghanistan twice. He once used to believe in the american media, the idea of free speech, etc. After the last war at the gulf he had enough and quit his highly paid job. Now he is mainly working for european news channels and holding speeches about the slow destruction of the US media ethics. I made fiends with this guy and he supplies me with a lot of my info.
His name is Peter Arnett, once the world's most famous war reporter for CNN. The guy who interviewed Saddam and Osama bin Laden. Just another crackpot if you will.

I agree Ian. Its just that ignorance is sometimes hard to accept. But you are right, I will leave the dude alone. Kiss and make up is not an option here I guess, he's like his master Big W: Zero tolerance for different thoughts. Which really means: Zero tolerance for thoughts. lol

Whenever somebody throws the truth in your face,

Ahhh, the "Truth"! You really should capitalize for maximum effect.

Seriously, do you mean the "truth" or "evidence"? Reporters gather evidence, right? Otherwise they are betraying their mission, to uncover the truth, right? Or do you start out with the truth and work backwards?

You are not too far off here.

The information I have posted on 9/11 a while ago I'd consider as evidence, you are right. That evidence might help every individual to evaluate whether it helps in order to find the truth or not.
However, when I was talking about the "truth" to Aaron I was trying to say that he does not even want to accept information that just goes beyond evidence. Example: The other day he was saying how the germans can have the reputation of being such great engineers when it was the Americans who have sent people to the moon. I in return have explained him that it was in fact Wernher von Braun, Hitlers V2 designer, who with his team of german engineers came up with the Apollo program and sent Americans to the moon. I think you might call that a fact, or simply - the truth.
Got it?
