Blocking an orger For the first time, I've had to block someone on this site. I'd like to know if they will be notifified of this and how long it will take to do it?  | |

they don't know about it until they send you an orgnote, when they get a note back saying "this user has blocked you" or something to that effect. | |

 Imagine if this was an official action that required a mod to do something, they'd be doing nothing else. Nah, this is between you and this other person. | |

they don't know about it until they send you an orgnote, when they get a note back saying "this user has blocked you" or something to that effect. Yup. There's no automatic notification. They will only find out if they attempt to send you an orgnote. |

[And next time (since you didn't want an answer from a regular orger) you should send an orgnote to a moderator for a more personal answer.
