The why are these people on Prince.org thread Look at this profile:

I don't get it either, Prince has been extremely consistent in the high quality music he's put out ever since the 80's and he's perhaps THE most generous artist towards his fans.  | |

who cares why people participate on the org, as long as they're contributing to the community of the org and not causing problems for anyone else? it could be that it's the significant other of a prince fan who stumbled across the site and enjoyed the GD forum...it could be someone working in the music biz who likes the banter in the music:non-prince forum...who knows what brings people here, and really, whose business is it? all are welcome, i say. it kinda boggles my mind how someone who isn't interested in prince would frequent this site - it's kinda like guys who say they read playboy for the interviews - but hey, to each their own! | |

I heard someone talking like this at the 02 concerts last year, they used the term "uncommitted fans" like...unless you are some kind of fam freak you don't DESERVE to listen or get tickets...HOW ARROGANT.

Thanks for your post... I have said this before in my posts, but my profile says "not a fan". I come to chat with intelligent people in the Music- Non Prince area. I also know the Twinz personally, so I signed up here in 2006, knowing that prince fans have the low down on exactly what Prince is doing when I can't get hold of my friends. I like Prince- I think he is extremely talented and I have always been interested in him. I know a lot of his music well and I had friends who were extreme prince fanatics in school, so yeah, I have always liked him and listened to him. Having said that though- I currently don't own a single CD by Prince. Can you call yourself a "fan" if you don't own a single CD of the artist? That's pretty much why I said "not a fan". I don't troll, I try not to offend and I love the discussion here.  www.maximum-jackson.com
