Almost a month has passed since the previous update.
Any progress?

About the memos: They are deemed confidential only if everybody agrees.
It's also about the fans, that's us. So I'd say we might want to have a look at what's happening.

What should be confidential about the legal issues? Law is in the books. The media carry the news blurbs, so there you have the 'facts' (unless there are better sources). Combine and voila. No need for confidential materials. Openness is key here.

falloff What do you think the odds are that Prince will agree to full disclosure? The man had his toilet sign a confidentiality agreement.

hopefully ben will find the time to address this situation soon...i believe, until such time--- out of respect for his ownership of this site---we should refrain from speculation or allowing other sites to speak on his belief.

Of course we all know that this thing hasn't been a thing from recent times. Already back in 1997 he was after some sites. It's been an on/off kind of thing. It's not all the time that organisations calling themelves websheriff or grayzone are on the tails of fans.
So in this perspective it has been quite some time since mr Prince starting these things, some of which we may frown upon when seen in a legal light (i.e. doubt of law supporting certain actions).
Going from there, and the fact that other artists have a less tense relationship with the rest of the (online) world I'm wondering why he makes stuff so hard to himself and us. He, with the money, should have had plenty of advice of what *is* legal, OK, acceptable and common to do.

Oh well.

You miss the point.

The 'problem' should have been solved.
The 'problem' should have been solved much earlier than today.
(say... about ten years ago)
And you just shrug and move on because there's nothing to see.

LMAO, I moved on because PRINCE is nothing to see (or hear) anymore. It's not up to you to tell others to solve this problem, if you need to tell somebody send an email to Prince - PFU didn't ask to have this laid at their doorstep and I have no doubt they're doing what they can but again, it's not your place to tell them anything. Tell Prince but do not make demands of the innocent parties.

Sure.

But because of the system (expen$ive laywers and such) there will be not soon a time when mr Prince will learn his truth.
So I am not making demands, you read my writings as such. I am just saying that the whole thing drags on for well over 10 years and still he hasn't learned. Nor have we gotten `the truth` in what we can and can't do.
Now it's only this reign of fear by Prince's more or less legal troops.

Emails to Prince won't work.
He will evade critical questions in public about our rights and freedoms and good intentions.
Press releases might work.
