Unless you pm someone and can't, is there a way to tell how many people have blocked you? Or if you are blocked by anyone at all? Or do you just wait until you pm someone to find out? And what pops up? A "whap" sign?

You cannot tell how many people or who has blocked you. A way of finding out is when you send an orgnote. You might receive an orgnote from someone letting you know they are blocking communication with you.

I'm conceited, I cant help thinking that one of the few people I've blocked will write a long-ass orgnote to me and then get hit with the "this person has you blocked". Pity it prolly never happened.

In a perfect Org-world I'd like for the blocking to be something you have to request from a mod (yeah I know this would only be more work for you guys ) with a reason for it, for example include if you've gotten a rude orgnote or something. THEN, and here's what some people would have a problem with... you should be blocked from noting them just the same. It's totally unfair, stupid and ridiculuous that you can block somebody but still orgnote THEM.

Yes you can Some people use it when they run out of argumentative points in a discussion conducted through orgnoted, others like me only in extreme cases ie when somebody despite my asking them politely to not orgnote me again persist in doing so. This has only happened with 4 ppl through all my Org years. Three of those belonged to the same family and the fourth is an ex of mine.

I understand the base principle of the block feature

I am greatful that I do not feel the need to block someone from speaking to me

If I pissed them off or insulted them I would want to know as my words and actions are a reflection of who I am

I am just not into that type of energy

Now if I was being seriously harrassed- I would let the person know that I would make the proper people aware of it and do so - then move on

If people were just dicking with me, I would simply not engage with their games and banter

omg the funniest thing just happened, i just tried to orgnote someone that i have had many conversations with and in fact the last one ended with however it seems that they now have me on block, without so much as a explanation, a goodbye or being grown up enough to discuss our differences.

Could we have a no under 18's rule because i swear that it SHOULD stop that kind of childish behaviour.

I tried to explain to a fellow orger that ppl can disagree on something and still get along as humans. I resorted to an orgnote because I did not think it needed to be public.
I was civil about it and that person sent me a nasty orgnote back and blocked me.

I am glad that some of us are adults and can over come misunderstandings.
