Contrary to Mod assertions....

mod actions are taken, and we are not always notified. My stupid ass Let's name Prince's surgery thread was deleted and I was not notified as to why.

Since all the mods claimed that there was full and open communication in that setting the record straight thread, thought I'd throw this out there because for sure I never received any notification and people who claim they were never notified are deemed as fabricators by some.

I've had a thread deleted too and never gotten any notice. It would be nice to get an orgnote so you'd know why it was deleted and whether or not it counts as a strike. If it's worthy of deletion, it seems worthy of a note explaining why so the thread isn't just recreated later.

In the case of the hip surgery threads, it was annoying that so many were being created but also annoying that none were being allowed when so many different news organizations were reporting the story. I know the rumor has been denied by Prince, and that's great, but it seemed a little silly that so many other outlets were talking about it and prince.org wasn't allowed to (until the sticky was created). Plus, Supa's thread was really funny.

I try to always send the person info - unless it's a minor [Snip] - even when I am temp hiding a thread to mop it up I let the author know where their thread is

I can not say I do 100% because I am sure I have made errors specially during the months I was self teaching myself how to Mod ( shit I made a error today while moving a thread to GD forum ! )

I do the very best I can do at the given time and I am aware that I make mistkes like everyone else does

imo, threads should never be deleted unless there's something ridiculously obscene on them. otherwise, why can't a lock with an explanation as to why it's being locked posted on the thread suffice?

I agree that all actions taken by removing, locking, deleting, moving, etc... should be notified by orgnote.

I hope all mods who take action do this, cuz it would sure knock off threads like this.

And since this is a horse we've beaten to death... I'ma lock it. But, I'll surely let you know I'm doing it.

(Mods - please notify orgers if you take action on their threads. Thanks)
