June7, I appreciate that you're leaving this open to conversation. It says a lot and this is a rare occurence. Thank you.

That being said, I know Ben well enough to know that what he said was innocent (despite its extreme nature, which we're all familiar with)--it was a running joke with the knowledge of each participant. SO many worse things have been said here, time and time again, with no consequences. If Ben really is going to be permanently removed from this site ( ), many others should be as well.

I realize that you (or whomever reported it) was shocked to read the text, but the context and the history of that innocent joke was unknown to the reporter. A permanent ban, in my opinion (and the opinion of MANY) is an action that went way too far.

Ben doesn't advocate rape. Period. Believing otherwise is insulting on an incredible level.
