I think it would be nice to have a movie or visual arts forum. Maybe a books and movies forum instead since I see the other person's want for a book forum. It's so hard to weed through all the vulgarity and mild porn and photowhore threads on GD to find anything about books or movies.

Any thoughts?

While I appreciate the interest, I personally do not see the need for additional forums on prince.org at this time. The forums we currently have make sense considering the the overall subject of the site is Prince and music related. The GD forum came about because people wanted to have discussions that were not Prince/music related. The P&R forum was broken off at one time and I understand why, but I don't see a need to break any further topics of discussion at this time. And I'm not sure there would be enough subject matter/participants to warrant it's own forum.
If you wish to "elevate" the level of what's going on in GD, I'd suggest going in and participating. There are plenty of threads that are about both film and books and other subjects that are not photowhore/porn related. And it could certainly stand a few more. The forum can only reflect the particpants in it.

I definitely think there is enough of an interest in movies and books to start its own forum.
