It seems like at certain times the org suffers from troll infestation and they tend to hang around here longer than other sites I've visited due to the fact that people continue to respond to the bait even when they know it's a troll.

Isn't completely ignoring the best way to discourage a troll?

It's up to the mods of course, but it would be cool if a sticky could be posted in some of the forums as a reminder. People get provoked and tend to forget how to deal with the problem. So many threads here get jacked and the flow of the discussion gets ruined. It feels like nobody is reading the site rules but a lot of people do look at the stickys.

It's best to not respond to the troll's posts and not "feed" the troll. If you see trolling, report it to the moderators.

As for the sticky idea, I like that. It probably won't solve the problem but it might help.

Could I also say that there are so called "respected" members of the org who have accused others of being trolls (that are absolutely NOT trolls). Remember not everyone lives in the USA, and english is not everyone's first language.
