Has anyone ever had the honour to be part of this prestigious, elite group? Who picks these quotes?


Also, just an idea, and I know this is a Prince site, but more people may join here, if they look at the quotable members, and see people quoted from the other music sections or maybe GD etc...?

I remember trying once to get on the quoted members bit. Ugh. I made a really serious paragraph about Prince song "papa". What a sellout. My writing is appalling LOL. What was I thinking

Do you chose who gets quoted for "the front page"?

I think you should random it every week (or day?). Pick a random orger who is online on the front page, look at his/her profile, and pick a totally random quote from a thread they posted on.

Actually, I've been picking the quotes from members for the last year or so... (maybe even longer) not by assignment, just because no one else was doing it.

I look for well written posts that are Prince oriented. I try to quote mostly positive pieces, beings it's on the home page - which is the most visible page to visitors and gives them their first impression of the site. I have posted a few critical quotes (about Prince) as well, I just don't make it a rule to do so all the time.

Spelling or phrasing should not worry you, as I do edit for such prior to posting the quote. This edit is only visible on the quote (for front page sake) but does not affect the actual post in the thread.

I try not to quote the same people often, but once I actually quoted the same orger three times at the same time! This happened because I'm not really looking at who wrote the post, just at the post itself and what was being said! I tried to correct it that night with other quotes, but they wouldn't go anywhere.

So, what you see on the homepage is random selections of a good quote from someone's post, almost always taken from the Prince: Music & More forum.

Oh, and for the record - I've never been quoted either.
