Planted Posts, Fact or Fiction? I've been reading through the threads on here since the saga of the "we're suing the fansites/we're not suing the fansites started and is it me or do some of the more outrageous posts on here seem contrived?
There seems to be a small group of posters who deliberately put comments designed to be both inflammatory and provocative Almost as if they want to whip up anger and provoke an adverse reaction I do not believe for one minute that the only level the fan sites are being attacked on is a legal one Two of the oldest tricks in the book are disinformation and divide and rule It might be worth people thinking about why something is posted in future, not just about the content of the post itself, no matter how inflammatory I certainly believe some parties are posting here in order to give people more ammunition to use against the sites Don't fall for it

That's crossed my mind. Particularily, with religion infused themes, in Music and More.
I don't know whether it's the usual altar pushing buttons, or someone who is not associated with the site, and is creating antagonistic responses. I do think it's healthy, for members who have been here, to get things off their chest, regarding each other's behavior that causes ill will. Maybe there'll be a better understanding of why we think the way we do.....

I had never thought about that, but I really would not put it past anyone at this point. It's no more "out there" than the idea of the staff of the Pirate Bay being tailed by people with cameras.

As for the question at hand, I'm inclined to think that there are people who're overzealous in their fandom and somehow either feel very strongly that a) WHATEVER Prince does is right, b)he needs defending, or c)that WS or (even) Prince himself will notice their defending him and contact them to show their appreciation or log them in some kind of "real fans" database.
Of course some of these fans probably take it on themselves to copy and save the threads where they feel Prince is being wronged and send them to WS or whoever. I doubt these people have jobs cos that's GOTTA be a full time occupation these days. I don't think they're trolls, not intentional ones anyway. They just slipped and fell on their asses in the purple Kool-Aid.
