Constructive Criticism is quite different from hate... it can be done in an acceptable manner, non-hateful manner. It is not constructive criticism that I have a problem with... it is the hate in here!

I myself have critiqued Prince's work in many threads.. it is a form of learning.. Hate is not!

Hello? Take a look at the bad press he's gotten. Attorneys and hired help aren't focused on the long term outcome. That's not their jobs. If he had any foresite, this wouldn't have happened.

Prince has/had GREAT biceps! Really. I don't know if he worked out, or it was a natural condition.....but I used to see pics with toned gorgeous arms. Did playing guitar develope that physique? If a "hateful" post bothers you, it's as simple as ignoring it...if you feel it should be addressed, understand that some more "hate" will follow in their next response....

why are so many of y'all feeling the need to be Princes conscious...anything said about him here is, at best, purely subjective....and calling most posts subjective is giving them more credit than thay deserve...it's not that serious people...there has never been or will ever be anything said here that could adversely affect Prince or his career....trust me, Prince knows enough ways of his own to derail a career...

Send an email to the fan sites telling them what what I was trying to achieve and why, and pointing out constructively where material was apearing, what constituted offending material and how it could best be removed or filtered/moderated out

Serve DMCA notices on the sites that sell pirate/bootleg material

Issue factually accurate press releases and explain to fans this wasn't an attack on them or their human rights

Explain that it is a legal attack on the pirates who illegally rob artists blind year in year out

Work with friendly sites rather than against them

Get a decent PR company to handle any fall out

If Prince wants to control what is said about him, he should do it through his own website, in his own official forums. Nobody is stopping him. Although I think he'd be a real man if he opened his own forum and allowed people to talk about anything, good or bad. The very fact that when he had his own forum, he censored negativity shows you how sensitive he really is to people's opinions and how much it truly bothers him. He said it himself in Props 'n' Pounds -- "positivity is the only way... negative people don't get to play." And in a sense that shows you why Prince's music has not improved or changed in the past 15 or so years... because he can't take criticism or evolve at all. He still does things the same way, the way that feels "safe" to him. He's not open to musical growth anymore, and he's unsure about his own skills.
