Are the Music Forum Moderators alive?

So. The forum reads.....

NOTE: Go easy on the multiple same-topic/artist threads - if a certain topic on an artist has already been posted, DO NOT create another thread with the same topic. Unnecessary, silly or pointless threads may be locked or removed at moderator's discretion.

The front page of the forum late morning reads.....

Michael Jackson, image complex?
will.i.am drops new MJ album details
Janet Jackson in NYC supporting Williams sisters
Happy Birthday Michael Jackson!
Is Earth Song the best MJ song ever
Are any other Michael Jackson fans scared of what his next album could sound like after Invincible?
WEST: `I'M THE NEW MICHAEL JACKSON'
20YO: the forgotten album
who is more desperate for a hit?? MJ or Madonna??

Are there any moderators left to breath some live back into what used to be a lively forum for all music and not just everything Jackson?

There must be over 20 threads alone about a possible MJ album. I wouldn't mind as much if there was any new MJ or JJ MUSIC to discuss! If people won't abide by forum rules, isn't it about time we had a MJ sticky??

I tried to get people to discuss other artists, but no one will listen to me lol

On one of those MJ threads from last week,I (playfully) demanded that everybody start a new thread about an artist or band that doesn't get discussed here very much.To get the ball rolling,I started several "song of the day" threads.

I guess MJ will always be the most-talked about artist in this forum nuts

I'm a big MJ fan myself! But the volume of threads is wreaking the musical diversity on here....

And in the 5 minutes since I started this thread....

ANOTHER MJ thread has started! lol

I agree, its become the MJ forum, how about making a post that says MJ rants for the week, and keeeping everything in there. I need to start posting my threads about Amerie,Mya,Nicole etc... to keep things going here. I posted about the 20th Anniversary of the Cover Girls "Show Me" NO ONE CARED, i did one on HYPE in music No one cared, did one on Rick Springfield and his current work, No One cared here, but if you post a pic of Britney falling down drunk its NEWS!

If you don't like it, start some threads on topics that interest you. shrug I always ignore the MJ threads out of habit. There are Amy Winehouse, Randy Crawford and Stevie Wonder topics near the top of the page. Seems pretty diverse to me.

Well, at the end of the day, despite everyone wanting good "real" music, it does seem that everyone favors current news.

We'd rather rant about the "here and now", than just keep celebrating what was I guess shrug

Ndeed. There are far too many MJ & Madonna threads 'round here. It bugs me that stuff like my thread about a couple of slightly rarer albums gets next to no attention all the while all of y'all post on them damn MJ threads mad

I think one of the problems is that there seems to be a core group of MJ fans, that use this forum predominantely as a MJ discussion board, rather than a general music forum. The sheer volume of posts and threads pushes other threads off the top quite quicky and end up not being discussed.

The simple solution.....an MJ and JJ sticky. Quite a privilage on a general music forum!

I think The same thing applies to Madonna. Too many whimsical nonsensne threads about her stuff too.

Michael Jackson/Madonna/etc. threads do not skyrocket into the 200+ post range based on a few hardcore fans discussing. A lot of people just like to enter those threads and bitch about the thread and/or the fans. If no one BUT the hardcore fans posted, the threads would die a quick death. Ignoring them if you are not interested in the subject matter is the first step.

I think general artist stickies defeat the purpose of threads, which are supposed to have specific topics.

We always have Madonna album threads when a release date approaches, but that at least has a specific topic. If you had a general "Madonna" thread, there would be no theme or point in the discussion.

I've admitted in the past to posting in them but I usually post in one or two and I definitely don't start the threads. There are just threads for every question, rumor, thought, song and occurence. Right now there are 2 Happy Birthday threads.
