Oh No!! The Org's Gone Commercial!

Am I the only one that's seeing these ads in every thread? Is the org going commercial?

Yeah, it was just a shock this morning to see all these adverts out of the blue. I guess we'll get used to it. Who knows, this might mean they can pay someone to get the search button sorted out. biggrin

I only started this thread as a kneejerk reaction to suddenly finding adverts all over the joint. It was just a surprise, that's all.

I don't mind the banner ads at all. What's slightly problematic for me are the embedded ad links in the individual posts.

It's a bit confusing to read replies now. I've been away a month or so and come back to a new weird looking org!

these adsense ads are a great way to earn extra money..on my small site i use to average $200 a month from adsense ads and with the amount of users here on the org this should earn the org some nice money...nothing wrong with that at all

I agree. I can easily overlook the banner ad, but I don't like how it's making it look like I am linking my posts to shit on amazon....

I'm going to safely assume this isn't a conflict with the site set-up, and Prince rules/attorneys not wanting anyone to make $$ from his talent or lackofabilitytosustainhisownwebsitestuff. I think mods should be paid and the gov't would like the tax revenue. So it must be A-OK. The IRS will probably be on the site's side.....
