how do you do an online poll? or cant it be done?? Im interested in seeing what the overall favorite prince album and song is. it just seems that there are so many opinions about what people like and dislike, it would be good to do a poll to see what the overwhelming opinion is...

You can post the question in M&M as "Post Your Favorite Prince Albume", then in the linear notes, explain you're doing a poll, and will post the results when data accumulated. Try to word it so ONLY one albume is mentioned.
I'd post a separate thread on "Favorite Song". People start discussing the subject and it would get too busy with both topics.
I do the annual "Average Age of an Orger", and keep a calculator handy.
For the Albume thread, I'd have ready a complete list of all of Prince's albume titles. Each time you stop tallying the data, keep track of the post # of the last post you documented, and the orger's name, that way, when you get back to it, there's no mix-up. You have to watch for double posts.
It's not COMPLETELY accurate. It simply reflects the view of orgers on this site.

I could do a manual count, but that would mean risk of having duplicates, etc.

This information would be really handy…

For many, posting one's age or gender isn't done unless required.
When I do the "Ave Age" poll, orgers post their age, just for the spirit of the thing, who wouldn't normally. It's not in their profile, and when those of us >50 post, it's easier for the 30-somethings.
If anyone should keep track of data, it's the 3121 web site.
The advantage here, is the longevity of Prince.org, which has a more stable membership, reflective of those who follow Prince and are consumers of Prince Inc. IMHO.
