Question to the moderators about discussing Planet Earth Why is it allowed to only discuss Planet Earth in one single 'sticky' thread?
I mean, you can discuss so much different aspects of that album: the album in general, particular songs, the artwork, the input of Wendy and Lisa, how it compares to earlier albums, to name just a few aspects. I mean: when everybody is supposed to post their reactions on those different aspects in one, single thread, there is a danger it becomes a very long, and quite unreadable thread. What made you decide to only allow a single thread about the album? Please explain. | |

It's that or the entire page is filled with threads about the album.

One very important part is the control over people asking for leaks, I guess. Way easier on one single thread. And besides that, I'd rather have one unreadable thread, than an unreadable forum. | |

As vindication said, it's that or a page filled with threads about this cd. It's quite easy to participate in the sticky, many topics get discussed very successfully in these types of threads. When it gets too big, we make a part two and link you to the old one for review.

It seems pretty weird to me that there can be 3,000 picture threads or 7 threads about Prince and Sinead O'Connor getting into a slapfight, but Prince has a new album coming out, and we can only discuss every aspect of it in ONE thread? On a Prince site? And threads that were created BEFORE the sticky are being locked?
Now, I can understand, in the Non-Prince section, if Madonna or MJ or Bjork or Tori is putting out an album, there should be one sticky thread to discuss it. But in the Prince forum? When Prince is putting out an album? It seems ridiculous, actually. Moving to site discussion. - June7] Well, hell, there are so many times when there's nothing to talk about, I'd rather see the entire forum filled with excitement and news and analysis of the album than the 800th "Such and Such a Song appreciation thread" with three of them to a page.
