Why are people leaving the org?

Several important orgers (for example: Huey, CinisterCee) have stopped posting here at the org.

So what's wrong?

Some people take a break and come back. They do have lives like the rest of us.

You asked, so here is my opinion

People leave the Org because....

Too many lame ass silly threads that are unnecessary
Too much religion
Too much politics
Too many arguements over politics and religion
Too many lame ass threads about MJ and Madonna
Too much racism
Too many black/white issues (we have many other people here)
Too cliquy

I'm not hating on GD. I just think it pointless to create threads asking what someone had for breakfast or how many times a day you wipe your ass. That's what I mean by lame ass silly threads.

it's called open discussion. you don't have to participate, but if the threads exist and get posts they're valid. what's the alternative, locking them? who gets to decide what's a 'silly thread'? shrug

I'm not arguing with you, just stating my opinion. I find some of the threads in GD very amusing and some are also helpful. I guess I just wish that people would use their time for more meaningful posts rather than creating useless threads that are immature and useless.

not everything has to be meaningful. lol my opinion is that what you view as immature and useless threads are often some of the funniest ones here, and i'm sure you'll agree that humor has a rightful place. smile

I certainly do agree that humour is wonderful and definitely has a place. I guess we just disagree on what is immature and/or useless - and that's ok too.

That's for sure. Sometimes I can't get over it. Threads like "show me your..." (insert whatever) - just ridiculous. I guess some people have to feel wanted no matter where they are.

If you don't like the topic, ignore it.
There was an "Anal Hygiene" forum topic that I thought would be silly. I read it, and found the info to be accurate from a medical viewpoint and useful.

thumbs up!
Sometimes it all just gets too tedious. Perhaps it's my age, but when we get an influx of lame threads, I get bored here and leave for a while.

I hear ya. I'm always game for a chuckle, but some do get quite tedious and boring.

there's a handy little 'report to mods' function if you feel like someone's so offensive they break the site rules.

Yes ... I can respect your opinion but who is anyone else to say what is meaningful for the next person ? Just because you see it as not using their time for meanigful posts does not make that a truth ( only for you ). Also...what you find "useless" may be another persons amusement or help. That too can go for "immature" ...to you it may seem as such but to another it may not.

peace

I have laughed at all kinds of threads on this site, so I do see your point.

Well, when I start making threads about someone's dick turning brown you can say whatever you like about me.
