Actually, I think a better question is "Why do the mods insist on telling us that you SHOULD be informed if one of your threads is hidden when that NEVER seems to happen?" It's just bullshit IMO, hiding behind that... they should be obligated to tell you up front why it's being hidden or locked in an orgnote. In fact, I think that the hiding process should be unable to be completed unless there's an orgnote sent to the poster... shouldn't be that hard to programme... shrug

in fairness to them, i think i know what happened, i just want to be sure.

i think i punched a big hole in the org by starting such a long thread at the wrong moment right during an org glitch. the org crashed, and when it came back up, the thread was there and clickable, but unable to be read. every time i clicked on it last night, i got "topic unavailable due to database error", and i think someone mercy killed it at some point during the night.
