First off, I don't know what makes a thread go inactive, or unable to reply to. Is it a strict time limit, like you can only post for 60 days or is it based on the time of the last reply? I would like to know how that works. But I guess my question is, if a thread goes inactive and someone wanted to add to it, in my case it is a thread reveiwing an artist, their music and her lyrics, can the mods open it back up for people to post replies to?

It seems to be a set time frame from the time of the initial post... I don't think it's possible to resurrect threads cos if that was possible I think the mods would have done it by now, for example with Invasion threads that still are being posted on but still freeze up.

Perhaps it was done for some technical reason, to make the site run a little smoother? Kinda like what auto-archive does for Outlook maybe?

I thought it was taboo to post on an old thread. One of those unwritten org rules...a social more...
