How About An "I'm Leaving!" Forum, or simply called "Personal Messages Forum"! (now I'm serious!)

4 all the drama queens that feel the need 2 announce their departure from this wonderful world of .org; a forum dedicated 2 them.

I'm sure it will b appreciated by those who need the "begging and pleading" 2 try and get them 2 stay.

I won't have 2 see them, and ian won't have 2 lock them!

Whaddya think?!? evillol

well, if the people were smart, they would use this forum for the "im leaving".

that way, its on topic *AND*...and this is the kicker, Ian doesnt moderate this forum...so the thread is safe...

i cant believe nobody else noticed this...

how about an "attention getting ploys" forum? this would cover the following topics,...
1.I'm leaving
2. I have returned...bcause y'all begged me 2 which is what i wanted all along
3."who is the hottest org member" and other popularity contest threads
4.threads devoted 2 how the new GD forum sucks(inevitably written by ppl who post in it EVERY single day)
5. threads devoted 2 subjects like "i broke up w/ my boy or girl friend","my job sucks",and (my favorite) "i'm leaving the org discussion forums because they are shitheap flame wars so u guys will c me in chat" because the person who posts this is fishing for both compliments AND sympathy...quite the multi tasking experts in my opinion
Anyone got other suggestions for my new forum?

eye agree! We really don't care if your leaving or not. There also should be a forum for new members.

The proposed forum should be like this:

Personal Messages Forum - 2 say "goodbye", "hello I'm New", "Devote A Thread: June7" (example, heh heh), "So & So's sick, wish him/her well", and the "I'm Back" threads.

I started this as a joke, but now I'm serious. The more I look at the responses, the more I think this forum is needed 4 the above stated topics.

It would b nice 2 have a forum that the orgers could send personal messages in a more public 4mat...

Ben, Matt, Ian...whaddya think?

It's a good idea, June dear. A forum specifically for all of those annoying fucks who have to say, "I'm never coming back to this terrible site!" ...But come back in 72 hours or less. That way, people like you and I, and subyduby, we don't have to read it!

Yes!

I think this place has too many forums now...and ben keeps adding them to keep people happy...ben, you cant please all the people all the time...

besides, these "im leaving" threads and other personal messages should be left in orgnotes...if people were really serious about these announcements they would take the time to send orgs or emails to their friends...they dont because they are only interested in getting attention...for the most part.

I don't know what the big problem is with the "I'm Leaving" threads...

I don't mind them.

(I also don't mind the funny comments that frequently follow them smile )

Anyone who posts or creates a thread is seeking attention... this is human nature.

I, 4 one, have been against these so called "good-bye threads" since the beginning...but, if they had their own forum, what would b the harm in them posting?

Those who detest the threads could simply ignore the whole forum...never again will they have 2 endure the pain and discomfort of reading another "good-bye thread"!

Never again will ian, matt or ben have 2 take the time 2 delete the thread, send a warning orgnote, or lock a thread! The joy they will feel in their newfound time would b considered a miracle! Finally, they could finish their collective letters 2 Penthouse Forum, thus adding 2 someone else's forum 4 once...oh the joy!

My twocents ...

well, for one...people would still want to post them in the GD section because few people would visit the "im leaving" section..

besides, they can use the prince.org discussion section so say there "im leaving"..they fall between the guideliness here so they wont be locked..but people dont cause they know less people will read it.

it's been my experience that those who announce they're leaving..come back for whatever reason: to see what was said about them..to see if anything was said about them..to comment under another username about themselves..to see if anyone misses them..

and others...just bounced...playin bid whist somewhere with jimmy hoffa..
