The details are sketchy. Obviously it's a very secret process, but I can tell you all applicants must...

1- Go through a humiliating "boot camp" designed to desensitize the future moderators to all forms of insults.
2- Spend three days and nights nude in the woods eating roots and drinking rain waters from leaves...to channel the primitive force that nature has given us.
3- Two weeks of schooling in the application of the rules. This includes Orgnote etiquette and Rapid Locking Techniques.
4- Swearing to uphold the Rules on a stack of TUI 2.0.

I'm sure Ian knows the rigors of this program.

Ask Ian, he told me he bugged the hell out of Ben till Ben gave in. So bug the hell out of Ian. The trick is to ask Ian on his "good days", so timing is everything, right Ian?

Seriously, it's not something you really ask to do and get to, per se. As we need more, candidates seem to just appear to me (divine intervention? no! divine moderation!) anyhow, it's usually gotta be people I know and have met in person.

I'm confused to no end about the decision to make this ian cat a moderator. ben and matt do a great job moderating and are insanely more reasonable.

I've had a lot of people complimenting the effort I've made in moderating the forums actually. You'll find that it's a lot easier to just try and work with me rather than throwing a big hissy fit because I locked one of your threads.
