So, I'm just wondering. . .

. . . if anybody (*cough* Ben *cough*) is ever going to tell us why the org seems to be permanently suffering from glitchy-ness. Sometimes it's worse than others, but. . . yeah. What's up? Do we all need to chip in for a new server or something? confuse

It does crash. And my fingers get great exercise trying to log on over and over smile

I would not mind chipping in at all.

Well, there's a few things. One, sure a newer server would help, but there's a ton of work (not just $$) involved in that, and I don't have the time to deal with it right now. Second, and probably more importantly, there's at least one big bug that causes the org to crash, related to 'moving' threads. I can replicate the problem, but haven't been able to debug it and find the root cause, and fix it, yet. I need to do this... really.

Aside from that I think it's generally OK. I only get a couple of (automatic, monitoring) messages a day about problems, but still I know that's annoying if you're trying to use the site then sad

And if that wasn't reason enough for orgers to ensure they post in the correct forum before finalising a thread, I don't know what is!

Help us to help you, look before you leap, yadda yadda... wink

Is it possible to pay someone to do the ton of work for you? Because you may underestimate the willingness of many orgers to chip in for org 4.0 nod

Yeah, it does seem like there might be the makings for a volunteer Org Geek Squad. . . there must be a bunch of skilled nerds hanging out here.

But even if we had to pay for a non-volunteer geek squad. . . I do think that many would be willing to help.
