O.K. I have a bit of a problem.
Someone sent me a YouTube link today, via orgnote. I think it was to a Prince clip. Here's the problem:

It was snipped.

My question is how did this happen? At first I though it must be in a script that did this automatically. But then realized that the script would have to be pretty sophisticated to know that the link was to a Prince YouTube file.

So how was this done? Did someone actually read my orgnote?
If so. I won't be using orgnotes from this point on.

AND, I'll be pretty pissed.

Orgnotes are private emails between people on the Org.

Unless you were sent a copy of a post that had already been snipped

And btw... Prince YouTubes are not allowed to be posted on the site for legal reasons. Anyone caught will get a 2 day bannerama or whatever action is deemed appropriate.

That's what was in place of the YouTube link. How would this appear in an orgnote? If the party sent a link that was later snipped, would all instances of this link be snipped?...even those already orgnoted?

Probably the link is connected to what was sent via orgnote. So no matter if it's sent in orgnotes it would automatically change. What I am trying to say is... let's say you are on a site, you see a link and copy it. In the meantime it's been changed on the original link, so when one day you go to view what you copied and it shows up with the change, not the link you had copied.

And yeah my [Prince YouTubes not allowed on this site for legal reasons or you may end up with a temp ban - luv4u] replaces the link in the thread/post on the Org.

We as Mods do NOT have access to your Orgnotes, at all. We cannot access what is written between Orgers, at all. We don't know what is discussed between Orgers, at all. This is the one place you have absolute freedom of speech on (at the Org anyway)...

However, now that you are so paranoid about us reading your Orgnotes... I'm kinda intrigued....

Seriously. That's all I wanted to know...like if it was in the policy and I wasn't aware of it. I'm sure, as Luv says, the occurrence of that link is referenced...or something like that. I can't imagine how anyone could go thru all the orgnotes.

Waiting to hear from the sender, to know what type link they sent...and how.
