New Member I'm glad to see this site and happy to see that it is active on a regular basis. I was a really huge Prince fan while growing up in the 80's, and can remember having his very first album. From there, I followed his career for quite a long time.
Although he is no longer as popular as he once was, I still consider him to be one of the most influential musicians of modern times. It's nice to see a site where people still appreciate his talent. Looking forward to talking with all of you. The finger pointing at the moon is not the moon...dammit! | |

Thanks for the shoutout! I actually registered about a week ago, but was never able to log in to any of the discussions til now. I agree that it is addictive. I've logged on and read responses here quite a bit since I found the site. Incidentally, I just got done reading the book by Per Nilsen about Prince. Very interesting and couldn't put it down! I finished it in two days flat. My heart ached upon reading about his dabbling in drugs during the Black Album stage, and I was really sad to see the way he dealt with some of his former band members, particularly the Time. Perhaps some of it can be chalked up to his youth at the time, and the fact that he is human and has erred like we all have. The finger pointing at the moon is not the moon...dammit! | |

Yeah, when I first joined I just read the posts all the time, before I could post myslef, they really cracked me up!! 
I am glad Prince is human, it keeps me sane 
Sorry, that's sounds stupid, but at least he is not alien or like some other popstar with a wobbly nose which keeps falling off - mentioning no names as I must adhere to the rules... | |
