I hope to one day get over my addiction to this site so I can let it go completely. I am one of those easily offended people. I don't need the Org to remind me how ugly the real world is. I live it every day. we're all blowing off steam in our own way, Stymie..and if you don't like someone here at the org, or what they say, you can ignore me, and their posts, which is an improvement over real life. My org experience hasn't been one of racism, or classism. I've found the orgers to be intelligent, witty, and usually sensitive to other peoples feelings. If I've said something that someone else has objected to, I've apologized, and in some cases, learned from the experience. just sayin. | |

As others already suggested it should have been dealt with by reporting the incident to the mods. If it is as you say that one or more mods ignored it, it should be called to Ben's attention cos as you say she genuinely felt offended... BUT that being said... The Org requires its posters to grow a thick skin because at LEAST half of what is said is meant to take the piss. It's just the way it is here, and it's how a vast majority of the active posters are. As for being ridiculed in the Site discussion forum, her thread came across very much like a relative of that thread suggesting all the violent or insulting emoticons should be banned. To sum it up she came across as  , if she'd explained the WHOLE issue coherently she would have been better understood, people would still have taken the piss but not for the same reason. | |

Also, I wrote to him about an issue I had with mods and, once again, he never responded. I personally don't see the purpose of a site discussion forum because there is no discussion. speaking for me, i harbor no ill-will toward anyone at the ORG. i think most of us know the ORG isn't real life, and don't take it seriously enough to sustain permanent damage from any of the shit that happens here  | |

I can relate  . Me and my boyfriend who also is an orger had problems with a mod some time ago who just deleted our posts in certain threads and lied in an orgnote to me she never had done so, though she had to admit afterwards she had done it  . Another mod told me that whole issue was to big for him to handle and told me to contact Ben. My boyfriend who had been kinda close with Ben back in the day of the PML and PPML times emailed him, but Ben never bothered to answer  .With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! speaking for me, i harbor no ill-will toward anyone at the ORG. i think most of us know the ORG isn't real life, and don't take it seriously enough to sustain permanent damage from any of the shit that happens here I agree... the only thing I'll throw a spanner in the works about is that it isn't "real life" - for those of us who have made lifelong friendships here it most definately forms a part of it

yes i know. my point is: here at the ORG, a person CHOOSES to respond to whatever comes up. in this respect the ORG is not real life, it is much easier. but i know what you mean. the ORG can lead to real life, if we give it a chance | |
