If a post bothers you, you need to report it to a moderator. The mods are usually more than happy to snip offending posts and if it's that malicious in intent, people get banned. Bringing up a random question in site discussion, while good for discussing future decisions for the site overall, isn't really going to solve the specific issue at hand. It's a pity you have to learn the best way to handle things here the hard way. I understand if folks havne't been here a long time they may not know the best way to go about getting specific issues addressed.

Before this thread gets locked or deleted, I would just like to say that sometimes reporting a post to a mod does jack shit. It all depends on whether the mod who gets the report has something against you or whether or not the mod likes the person who you are reporting.
