So you want people to get along... Ever thought about what the first steps would be toward that ideal?

1. Look around and get to know people... Are they really as mean/nice as they appear? Is there a parodic intent?

2. Since we're all different and there's no way we will all think the same way, I guess ACCEPTANCE is the key... So if someone is a cranky little bitch, I guess you can accept that, use a little humor to deflect whatever.

3. Naturally, if you think it's a good idea to accept others warts and all in the name of one day achieving harmony, you also have to accept who you are. Tell that cranky little bitch he/she is pain, that's how you feel about it, you're a pain too sometimes, don't worry bro/sis.. you're you, I'm me.

4. Reaction... your capacity for acceptance is tested when said cranky little bitch tells you to fuck off... Just say "OK, I'll duck off" and let it be known you understand that this is what this person does, that you don't like it much but hey... you just want to get along somewhat...

Now you're doing it. Now you're actually trying to get along... can't you see?

P.S. : Don't count on me to follow this path, I never said I wanted everyone to get along.

If you want to get along, agree on not getting along and leave it at that.

If you've got a problem with someone saying this and that, say your piece on a case by case basis. Appealing to everyone to get along won't work. The former is a sort of dialogue, the latter is a futile monologue dependent on everyone ignoring who they are and being all nice and stuff.

I agree but i can't take it on the chin.I have to swing back.Maybe this is the lesson i have to learn in life :O

certainly it is not necessary to freak out about every little thing, as if our lives depend on what happens on the org (granted that this might be the case for some people here).
