I'm all for it. Of course, it all depends on who wants to pay me for my endorsement. I wholeheartedly support the Orger who deposits the largest sum of money into my Moderator Bank at the ModSpa. I'm tired of Luv4U always having the biggest account for which to buy rounds for everyone...

I don't even know what a gerund is! Where can I get one and does it come with instructions?

Fauxie and Carrie would both be great mods. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

now that i've had time to think about it, i'd like fauxie to be a mod. i mean, i'd have a more appropriate context for which to shamelessly objectify him, especially now that imago's not around to encourage such behavior. with fauxie as a mod, my sexual harassment could then be viewed as brown-nosing, and i'd have a secure base from which to continue my catcalls and uncalled-for textual advances. which i think would be fuckin' awesome.

did i mention that male mod hopefuls must post naked pics of themselves?
ben told me that was the new rule the other night. [Edited 10/16/06 13:39pm] Power tends to corrupt; absolute power corrupts absolutely. - Lord Acton

Considering he's from my hometown and comes home to visit every now and then and yet we've still not met (including one blow-out!) then I think your request will remain on the 'kept on file' pile

Look at the site rules. It's strictly volunteer work. You need to be a member of the site for a year as a requirement. As far as someone qualified for the position, I would think an individual familiar with this particular site is best, as there's orgers here from the beginning..helps to have experience about the orgers (don't even have to know anything about Prince). Need to know the difference between fun and games, and nasty, cruel, bad intentioned behavior. And there's a fine line. (I once defended someone when I 1st signed on and they quickly org'd me and said...they do this all the time as humor, and no offence. My mistake.) Can't endear yourself to members, as interferes with good judgement, causes bias. You're making decisions that require objectivity. Need to be over the age of 18. Rather than shutting down a working forum, snip the individual who's behaving badly. (while I'm on a rant) there's group punishment that doesn't make sense. enough said [Edited 10/26/06 19:13pm] [Edited 10/26/06 19:20pm]

Fauxie said: If there's ever an opening for moderator, I hereby declare my interest in the position. I believe I am a fair, sensible, level-headed person perfect for the job. I also have a paltry life away from the org so would be on hand a lot of the time to moderate.
Think about it. p.s. I've been a lot nicer the last year or two and you know it! not giving out handjobs subject edit [Edited 10/11/06 22:23pm] i vote yes on fauxie as a mod. and fauxie please help get a "is prince gay?" forum.

Say What? I've safely assumed he was more of a "figurehead".....like the Queen of England. Only she actually makes public appearances.

As soon as it starts to feel like a job, you'll resign. It's a responsibility and yes, work is involved(job) If the sense, as moderator, isn't "being here for the common good".....upholding the rules of the site in a fair and equitable manner, using good judgement, etc...then one shouldn't attempt or continue in a position one's not qualified for. It's definitely a commitment and one that should be taken seriously as the audience is pretty huge if you include the non logged on viewers. I just thought you brought up a good point.
