I think this is sad. So many use "leaving the org" as a method to be heard. A way to express anger and pain, when it unfortunately does not provoke support, but hostility.
If someone posts "I'm leaving the org", rather than just logging off and never coming back, they are probably trying to rally some sort of acknowledgement and understanding. The problem with society today is that our communication skills are poor at best. We do not promote open and honest communication...we promote etiquette. We promote judgement rather than perspective. What I think I hear bible saying is that he feels hurt by the things that have been going on out here. That it doesn't feel like the "safe-haven" of friendship that has been here for him/her before. Sometimes getting to the root of our feelings is difficult, so we react without investigation. I think that is what is happening here. Bible, figure out what is has trigured this and work on expressing it through using your perspective. Try not to finger point, just talk about the effect it has had on you. Take a break and come back when you are ready. We will still be here. | |

Oh thats right ben because you are sooo knowledgable and openminded. You my friend ( said with the most sarcasm I can muster) are the dog poo that has been sitting on my sidewalk baking for the last week. This just goes to show that there is no such thing as respect or personal dignity and that you deserve the rest of the small minded idiots on this site. You people allow others to harass people on their e-mail accounts ect. You do not provide the service or "protection" you promise to org members. It is obvious that you have set this up as your own little kingdom that you can rule arbitrarily. It is obvious to anyone with half a brain that in order to get anywhere on this site you have to "conform" with the non conformists. This is truly sad. So no I'm not going to post my own farewell, I'm just going to leave, even thogh I have only been on this site for a short time. Bible teacher came on this site to share his ( and the musician that you claim to love) view points on life and the Bible. Maybe he scared some of you, made you question what you have all been taught to believe, oh and God forbid think outside of the box. More pwer to him!!! Now Ben, I've emailed ya before and we've had good emails back and forth, you've followed some suggestions, and that's cool and I THANK YOU, but, this attitude MIGHT not win you respect from some orgers. The respect needed for people to follow the rules. You're the man here and yet, you taunt the ones who leave. That's too bad. It just sets a bad example. I'm not planning on "leaving" or anything like that at all. All this is really just silly. But I hope other orgers don't start doing the more of the "I'm Leaving" thing because really, does it matter? But if they do, the cool, down to earth ones, the humble ones, the ones who actually just want to talk Prince, good or bad, fun and positive ones who contributed, shared knowledge and ideas, helped each other, don't get taunted at the end by the actual people who put together the site. It's like a kick in the ass out the door, that's just not cool and simply disrespectful. If some one leaves, too bad. No matter who it is, if they "leave" the org with such a bad taste it just reflects the management. Tsk tsk. It's hard to get all serious about saying goodbye to so and so.
