Moderator Bashing

Considering the amount of time they spend cleaning up our messes, and considering the fact that it's not a paid position...I think some of you have been unfairly bashing the mods. taste is subjective, but don't judge a moderator till you've typed a day at their keyboards. Just sayin.

i think it is sad that they dont get paid... cause they do to much work on here.. almost like its a real job... i also wouldnt even do half of what their doing if i wasnt getting paid... or owned this site....

i have been hearing from people that the moderators are being unfair with the members.... maybe bias... also my account was deactivated two days ago... cause i asked if moderators get paid... and i was sent an email telling me my account was deactivated because i was "airying out dirty laundry"... literally it said that... where in the rules does it say you will be banned for airying out dirty laundry...

anyways i think that the org members should get to vote for who gets to be a moderator... every 6 months... so that people will choose moderators that they feel will treat them fair and with respect... cause i have had moderators that just hated me.... and would find everything i did wrong.. .lock all my threads delete my post.... or i would be blamed for all the arguements... even though i didnt start them... but i would get banned and the other person wouldnt.
if someone says something rude to me... i might say something back to defind myself... but now..

those moderators just didnt like me... so they treated me unfairly... but if people or every forum was able to vote for moderators... that would help alleviate some of the problems that people have with the moderators....

and also one more thing... some moderators.... can get a big head... they think they have some kind of real power cause they are able to bann people... so they look for every excuse

and this post wasnt to start any kind of trouble or 'AIR OUT DIRTY LAUNDRY'... it is a basic/simple discussion... NOT meant for any kind of drama

hopefully the moderators will see it that way... and NOT delete this or lock this thread...

I don't see why discussing anything in public is a problem. If people are being treated unfairly and are being oppressed, the people should voice it. It should be discussed in an open forum. Some of them know they're not right and don't want everyone knowing

your right, and i orgnoted you explained to you that captain eo was never aired on tv nor was it ever officially released and therefore did not fall under what ben considered to semi-acceptable for posting here on the org. you can review ben's thoughts on youtube here: http://www.prince.org/msg/3/177835

now, we had the same conversation via orgnotes adisa and you actually thanked me for fulling explaining why we had to take down the thread...so why are you frustrated over again?

It is nice to know that there are other orgers who have also been treated unfairly for speaking out wink . It's healthy to discuss things like this with no drama involved. When people speak out it is not to "bash" a moderator it is to voice a concern or opinion and to me that's what site's like Prince.org are about-people getting together to voice their opinions about whatever. It can be a good thing if people don't get big heads and think that moderating gives them domain over all because it doesn't.

thats how i feel.... cause they will never know until it happens to them... also they need new and improved moderators... cause sashi moderator was getting smart with me... and just cause i dont have access to delete accounts doesnt mean... i shouldnt be treated with respect... if i find out that they are adding new moderators im definitly going to sign up for it... but i just will treat people with more respect and be less uptight...

You know how I feel. I feel you wronged me and treated me unfairly and others do too. There is nothing wrong with me discussing it in private with others. I didn't accuse you of anything. What you did was what you did. I still don't see why the comment just wasn't snipped and an orgnote wasn't sent. see my post above.

im not angry about it... im just saying... i thought you guys were getting paid... and now that i found out that your not... i just realized your taking things to seriously... even if that captain eo wasnt released on tv... it was a link to youtube.. so the person on youtube would get introuble and not prince.org... and youtube would be sued... either way... i could have told people to go to youtube and type in michael jackson captain eo.. and search for the movie and they would be albe to see it... so why is it so bad to send the link and save them time...

why is it bad to share link to bootlegs? because ben doesnt want to risk the threat of a lawsuit i guess...the cost to respond probably just isnt worth it for him.

even if 10 org members are complaining about being treated unfairly...than that means a moderator is NOT doing thier job
and when an or member complains about being treated rude from a d moderator.. that thats a serious problem....
we should all contact the person who owns this site and complain about the problems we are having
