"Cuz it feels so empty without, positivity!"

After much consideration, reading WellBeyond's story, and talking to some friends here on the org. I've decided to stay...In an Org note replying to Teacher/ I said:

"This place has become totally intolerable. This is the only place on Earth, other than Paisley I can go and talk about who I believe is the greatest musical genius of our time. (Can't afford a trip to Minnie) Not only does he get dogged here! (I know he's not perfect, who is?) but he's nearly hated, and now everyone that joins either hates Prince or they're a devil worshipper or, something like that (I 'may be' exaggerating a lil). They spew their beliefs all over the site. I understand freedom of speech and I respect all religions. But IceNine, BBMD, and others are being outright disrespectful to others. Think back a couple of months, think of the people that used to be here, even the old org. They're no where to be found, they're gone, they know better. I wont leave because I want to help turn this thing around. I love music, I love Prince's music. I can't say I love Prince, because I don't know him. Why would I say that, I would be dogged and ridiculed because I'm a cursed 'fam' Anyway I'm just bitchin', but to answer your question, yes, I'll stay and help. And I'm going to post my ass off!! Musical stuff, Prince stuff, positive threads. We should all support each other on this. If we see a 'good' thread, we should flood it with reponse, if we see bullshit we should ignore it. I should post this very org note, I'm sending you. I think I will, but right now I'm off to class, thanx. You've helped me change my mind."

So, I guess you can say I miss the 'Old Purple and Black Org" I've now come to call it. The Purple and Grey Org, is technically better, a whole lot more potential for interaction, which is good, but on the opposite end of the spectrum, interaction can also mean conflict. The biggest conflict on the purple and black was "who was deemed first" meaning the first person to post. If anyone showed up, that obviously didn't like Prince or his music, and filled threads with negativity. They were either 'ignored'! Or simply outnumbered. Think back to Kelly_anne and KLHK, they were, from what I know racist idiots, they were cussed out, roasted on, and attacked nearly everytime they posted. To the point that eventually they disappeared. Members like Kelly_anne, would be welcome at the Org now, loved and praised king. That's a shame! I can imagine IceNine's response to a Kelly_anne comment: "I like her!" rolleyes give me a break, this bullshit has to come to an end. I already know alot of people who probably are against me, or they don't give a f**k. So who's with me??

I can imagine IceNine's response to your thread... it would be something like this...

"That is the idea -- that we should all be wicked if we did not hold to the Christian religion. It seems to me that the people who have held to it have been for the most part extremely wicked. You find this curious fact, that the more intense has been the religion of any period and the more profound has been the dogmatic belief, the greater has been the cruelty and the worse has been the state of affairs. In the so-called Ages of faith, when men really did believe the Christian religion in all its completeness, there was the Inquisition, with all its tortures; there were millions of unfortunate women burned as witches; and there was every kind of cruelty practiced upon all sorts of people in the name of religion."

I totally feel you TheBluePrince. I mean TOTALLY. I think it is time this board got back to its' original purpose. The question is how to go about it. As, already, I would love to say something about Ice's comment on this thread...Actually, I'm gonna say it. Sorry to change the subject.
Ice, twist it, turn it, flop it, drop it anyway you want to, fact is if you don't dig Prince why waste your time here??? You don't want religious threads, you don't want racial threads. And, what about the people who do and the ones who can carry on decent and sometimes opposing yet respectful dialoge in those threads?
The fact that those type threads turn ugly is the reflection of the society your son; WE ALL are growing up in. What, do we pretend that that uglyness doesn't exist even thought we know it does? Do we not talk about it because the conversation doesn't advance either views? As strongly as you don't believe in God, others do. So, because of these opposing views, we don't share w/ each other why we do believe and don't; even if it gets to the point where things turn ugly??? Things ARE ulgy.
I'm gonna tell you Ice...all I know about you is what I read here on the Org. Based on that, well, I'll just say this, I read what you say, most times I disagree and I continue reading others posts. I don't comment to you. I don't post that your a knucklehead and are so out in left field I can't believe you exist. I just read what you say, shake my head in disbelieve and move on to the next comments.
Now, how come you don't do the same when you happen across one of those race/religion threads? Why get up in it if you feel so strongly that it's a pointless topic?
And, since you wanted to twist what theblueprince was trying to say, check this out...being one that DOES believe in God...but, also, one who does not know ENOUGH about what the Bible really says, I wish to share this, the cruelty dished out by the "Christians" you spoke of in this thread were NOT Christians. They talked the talk...BUT, they did not walk the walk.
Who was the dude that dropped the dime on Jesus? The dude told whoever where they could find Jesus to arrest his butt?? (Told you, I'm learning my Bible so don't laugh cause I don't have my particulars down yet.) Anyway, Jesus KNEW he would be sold out, YET, he CONTINUED to LOVE. If you knew you were about to be sold out would you continue to love the person who was going to sell you out??? Would you? THAT is some DEEP shit. You, like me, like most all others who call ourselves Christions, but REALLY aren't would get that person BEFORE they got us.
So, obivously, the so called "Christains" were in fact NOT Christians as per what the BIBLE says a Christian is. They USED Christianity when it was to their benefit and they shunned Christianity when it was not to their benefit. And, UNFORTUNATELY, not enough of us really know WHAT the Bible says to KNOW the difference. And, because of that lack of knowledge, we remain confused, lost, SEPERATED and defeated.
The Bible CLEARLY tells one how to walk the walk. You are very right, it is AMAZING how so called "Christians" are able to talk it but don't walk it. People question the existence of God or don't even think about God when things are good...BUT, what is the first thing out of people's mouths when things go HORRIBLY wrong? "Oh, my God." "God help me." "God help us." I like this on in particular, "God bless America." While we are TERRORIZING the Native Americans, at the same time, we're talking about God bless us...NOT Christians; not even. It's a little late to be calling on God when we didn't make the attempt to know God BEFORE shit hit the fan.
But, ultimately, the Bible is not about WHO is getting away w/ talking a good game...the Bible is about how I (WE) can walk and talk a good game. Game reconizes Game. Unfortunately, way too many of us don't know the Bible so we don't know we are players TOO.
What we do know is things are messed up in the world. If God were real, then things wouldn't be so messed up, right? Well, what if we DID as the Bible says and worship God; for REAL??? Having done that AND things were STILL messed up for me PERSONALLY, then I, like you would belive this God thing is a means of mind control to keep a brotha down. Ice, did you spend some time worshiping God having faith/believing and just not feel him so know you feel the way you do???
Anyway, the following words comes to my mind to end my comments..."it might..take you...some time but you will want to see the un...dis..pu...ted truth...and get free"

I will not attack you right now and I will address some of your comments.

I mainly post in sarcastic/ironic mode on here and you will never understand even one millionth of what actually goes on inside of my mind, nor would I want you to or I would post in other ways. I think that you have only caught on in the later stages of my posting and have missed what I am really about. I am currently sick of hearing people whine like babies and brats and have started posting negative things just to piss all of the whiners off. I am actually a very positive person in reality, but I am not blinded by it and will not bend to kiss the ass of the whiners. My posts of late have been to make a point/statement/counterbalance, whatever.

I have been involved in many good discussions on religion, philosophy, science, physics, neuroscience, etc. as these are topics that I am very well versed in and I will discuss those things again when I feel like it. I get very tired of the religious bigots and zealots and have stopped posting in my normally understanding and accepting manner. If you ask some of the people out there, you will find that I have been a very reasonable person and continue to be so. If an open-minded topic comes up, I will be there.

Also, I do not call people "knuckleheads" for their opinions and I have been a strong proponent of acceptance of other's beliefs. I tend to attack the argument and not the person... I sometimes will go for an attack if someone is being particularly pompous.

Now, as for the rest of your religious post: That is your opinion and you are entitled to it. I have NEVER told anyone that they could not or should not believe what they wish. It is your choice and you should follow your mind and where it leads you. My mind tells me that the bible is a work of fiction and that it is useless to me. I will NEVER tell anyone that they should not read the bible or believe it. I will, however, state my opinions on the matter in the manner in which I feel like expressing them at the time. If there is a religious discussion that is not a heavy-handed bunch of crap, I will discuss things in a civil and very intelligent manner. What I have been involved in lately is an opposite reaction in which I oppose the views of the bigots.

As far as the race topics go... there is no point in discussing reparations on the site, as it ALWAYS descends into insults and hate.

I really do like Prince a whole lot... he is number three on my all-time favorites list... right behind Elvis Costello and Paul Westerberg.

Hello? jtea4p?

Since you took the time to write your long diatribe, I thought that you might take time to read my response to you. I hope that you do and that you might finally understand a few things...

I speak for quite a few of us in my statement, as that is how a lot of us feel and a lot of us are acting in EXACTLY the manner that I described.

When you get time, I really hope that you will read the response, as I took the time to respond to it even though I suspected that you would not even come back to check on it.

It's so bourgeois anyway..."Bring in the class"... oh country club! If you are not equipped to deal with critical folks on the Org, chances are the real world will be a bit rough... And if class and positivity is indeed what people want, how come it's not dominant? Because you know something that is forced, no matter how positive, doesn't feel real and people just aren't jumping at the chance to say good things and only good things all the time.

I asked the wonderful + sign people to get that train going, and see where it is now? Honestly, how can anyone pretend that vibe is what people crave when they don't even support it that much and choose to post on the far more negative threads?

As for the rest, I defer to my nega-rich buddy Icenine, who knows what's the real deal.
