am wondering what kind of post should be reported ?

eg - if i am being 'stalked' from post to post in a threatening harrassful manner... can i report those type of posts?

eg - if i post my own view and i get verbally bashed for it...can i report that?

so yeah i'm wondering what constitutes a post worth reporting.

Yes and yes.

It's there for members to alert us to any problems, potential problems, offensive posts, and the like - even down to minutae such as moving a thread you may have posted in the wrong forum, or simply removing a thread altogether you have created as you have now decided it's not appropriate.

That said however, we urge all members to be vigilant and CHECK their posts and WHERE they are posting to prior to clicking that confirmation button!

In essence, look before you leap and help us to help you.

I appreciate that you got back to me so quickly. I feel better now, knowing that I can ask for help if I need it. What a great feature for online forums, to be able to report posts. Not that I'm a dibber dobber, but sometimes it can get a bit much!

So great to know you guys are there to keep things in check, including myself! In the past on other sites I have tried to deal with nastiness all by myself, but it never worked cuz eventually it would get to me and I would end up lashing out in self-defense, and get in trouble
