The book says that the human race needs to raise itself to a higher consciousness, that we need to come together on ONE. Sound familiar?

I've been angry with "God" for quite some time now. For many, many different reasons I stopped "talking" to God or even really acknowledging a higher power many years ago. When you've seen too many shitty things happen to other people and to yourself, it's very difficult to believe there's any supreme being who really gives a flying fuck. I realize that there are some people who feel the exact opposite--regardless of how many horrible things have happened, their faith in God only continues to grow. I can respect that. Part of me wishes I could give up the pain and anger and stop being so faithless, but the larger part of me doesn't know how and wouldn't trust doing it for one second.
I heard about this book several years ago from someone who isn't religious herself, and she really enjoyed it. I've considered picking it up, as it sounds unconventional and not the typical "holier than thou" religious dogma. We'll see...

I recommend the book, Another...there's not a trace of religious dogma to be found...and it truly does connect with a lot of people on a lot of different levels, including the ones you mentioned...
It's a good read.. | |
