Let's think about this creatively! We all seem to be in agreement that the Org needs better tuning. In the best of worlds, there would be a dozen programming Prince fan wizards in the same city as Ben (don't even know where he and his family live now) but that's highly unlikely to be the case. So, I pose these questions and maybe "we" could approach Ben.
1. What programming skills are needed to deal with the Org's running? 2. What hardware is needed (apart from the server/s it's on)? 3. Who on the Org has both the skills, time and desire to do this? People, get to thinking!

You could easily rent the server space, which in turn eliminates the hardware problem. The problem lies with TIME. You could get a great coder to do a great site (hell, I know 4 or 5), but the time involved in maintenance afterwards is phenomenal.

I'm aware of that. My second thought was whether a membership fee, annual or monthly, would be enough to hire an at least semi-professional person, maybe a student who has the time to spare and the knowledge as well as getting the opportunity to make extra $$.

I don't understand the question. But Marge! What if we chose the wrong religion? Each week we just make God madder and madder.

You can make the tea. I don't have any arms or legs. How am I going to lift the kettle? But Marge! What if we chose the wrong religion? Each week we just make God madder and madder.

Bear in mind I don't have a cock, either. But Marge! What if we chose the wrong religion? Each week we just make God madder and madder.

I do have programming skills yes, but nothing to do with web or database programming, alas. Maybe an idea to ask Ben if he's okay with it first? If so, I may know someone who at the least has the skills, unsure of his time though [Edited 7/9/06 12:17pm] You don't scare me; i got kids

I'm not really on the Org enough for it to be bothersome to me, but obviously there are a lot of people who are bothered. The major problem is time, or that's what we presume Ben doesn't have either. I hope he makes a comment when he sees this thread, that's all I can do.
