The Pope is a fraud and so is the position he occupies.
It is not backed up by a single shred of biblical evidence. The role of the Pope is simply not a biblical teaching. The Pope has the ability by Catholic doctrine to speak 'ex-cathedra' which means that he can speak as the very voice of God. Thousands bow before the Pope and bowing before men is strongly discouraged in the scriptures. The Pope claims to be 'christs vicar on earth' and takes many titles assigned only to Christ, yet the Pope lives in pomp and grandeur in multi-million pound surroundings. The Pope is the antithesis of all that Jesus did and all that he represented. The scriptures make it clear that we do not require human intermeditaries between mankind and God, Jesus occupies this position. There are many more complex reasons which I will not approach here. This does not mean that one has to 'hate' the Pope as a person or that one should 'hate' Catholics, only that the Catholic religion itself and the position of the Pope are unbiblical. They are simply not supported by the scriptures. Catholicism values traditions of men (condemned in the Bible) and the scriptures equally and this has allowed for many unscriptural doctrines and practices to enter the Church. | |

Although I am not part of the Catholic church or any other church that has branched off from this one, it is very sad to say this Harlot (catholic) church will soon b dealt with severely by God Himself. Why else do you think people that God says at Revelation 18:4 to "Get out of her my peope, if you do no want to share in with her plagues ... " ??? In time the whole world will see Babylon the Great Fall just as it didn during ancient times.
