I think it says a lot when mods rather see people leave the site that work together to make it a better place.

The Org crashing all the time is a problem that has been posted by someone who obviously likes to visit here. Posting a concern is not the same as whining or bitching.

Sorry Teach but I don't agree with you on this one. I still love you though. lol

Key word is "work together" - I think you're referring to my answer in the other thread regarding this issue. Working together doesn't mean a "i wish ben would just shut this site down" mentality. That's no good for anybody. Honestly, if anyone is that upset over how this site is run or running, really -what's keeping you here, cuz you're not making our jobs any easier.

The bottom line is, YES, we are as frustrated as you that these things are going on here, but damn... how many times can we beat a dead horse?

THE FACT OF THE MATTER IS: Only Ben can fix what's ailing the .Org. No Mod at this site has the power to correct anything technically wrong with it. I would suggest a direct email to Ben over massive threads and posts saying the .Org sucks.

In Conclusion: I still love this place and I still love the people here. grouphug
I've been a member of this community for five years and I have loved this place for a long time. It seems that Ben doesn't have time for it like he used to and I am actually happy that he out living life and being happy. I have emailed him about the issues I have with the site and still have not heard back from him. Seems to me, there should be someone second in command so to speak to handle such inquiries.

I don't really pay attention to this forum much so if there have been threads about the site going down or other people's complaints about it, I wouldn't know anything about that so your comment about beating a dead horse goes right over my head. A FAQ in this forum then, too? It might stop a lot of the inquiries into site issues.

Mods suggesting users here leave, no matter what the user said, is not cool.I look at mods, and this may not necessarily be true, as people who are neutral and impartial.

As mods they ARE neutral, as common users they aren't, or at least they don't have to be. As June pointed out there is fuck all ANY OF THE MODS can do to fix the Org, I'm pretty sure Ben's had numerous notes or emails from mods about the probs the site's having.

There ISN'T a second in command cos nobody but Ben knows how it works, that's my point when I say that he chould hand it over. He should hand it over to more than one person too, so they can help each other out when stuff like this happens. There's no use yelling at the mods. There's no use in yelling at Ben either, I rather think he's past caring unfortunately. sad

What's up with people acting like it's their fucking right to Org all day every day? It's a free site and Ben has a life with wife, child, work and all other things real life entail. What I think Ben should do, however, is take the time to teach somebody how it all works and hand it over. In the meantime, unless the fucking whiners can build a site that rocks as phat as the Org, shut the hell up.

I have a right to ask a question. What does the site being free have to do with asking a question? In addtion, I don't have to build another site since there are a few others avalible. It would be a real shame if people started going to those site instead of Prince.org.

I really appreciate the .org and all Ben has done, but if he is too busy with "real life," it would be good to pass the torch on to someone who has love and time to devote to it.

As for "whining," in recent months my time here has been very limited, so it is frustrating, when I can spend some time here, to repeatedly be thrown out of the forums and/or chat. And I can say, speaking only for myself, that the technical problems have contributed to me coming to the site less.

All the Mods listed here were (and still are) fans of this site before we became Mods. We all had our own attitudes, likes and dislikes. Although, now we must really think about what we're saying when responding to a post, lest we sound insensitive to anyones cares or concerns.

That being said - we still have the need as Mods and as Orgers to voice our opinion, especially when it's in defense of our beloved Org. Consistant complaining of something out of our hands does no one any good, and I will make my voice heard on this issue.

It's like this: My father loves us, his children. But, whenever we got way out of hand and started saying how much we hated living in his house and abiding by his rules (in general, being complete assholes) he used to say, "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out!" I too, subscribe to this way of thinking.

By the way, there are worse things than my suggesting an Orger leave...
