it depends on the content....

you can post youtube links of public domain stuff, performances from television shows (ie, old soul train performances) or old school videos...

if its public domain stuff (old old movies, tv shows or recordings) or owner authorized (ie, a kid recording themselves singing a Whitney song horribly) then its okay...

does this help?

NO . cause all that stuff which i posted and is supposed to be legal here ( see above ) still was snipped for WHATEVER reason .

then let the mod who took action know (and do this politely and friendly btw) that the content that your posting is indeed "fair use"...ie, legal.

i think some of the problem lies in that some of you folks post a thread with a link of youtube without specifying what the content is so we mods error on the side of safetly and remove the thread...those youtube links take a bit of time uploading and viewing...so, if you want something to stay up be specific about what it is...

that might help. wink

if we can't post youtube content, wouldn't logic dictate that we shouldn't be posting images from photobucket either? after all, they're visuals, even if they're not video clips.

in fact, maybe we shouldn't be posting pics at all and we should close down the image gallery.

i'm not trying to be sarcastic. think about it. nod
