i have set my page limits to 100 and it is the perfect length for those big threads!!
i might even shorten it to 75 or so   She couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay | |

it can still be on one single page for the most part people
go to "my org" - "forums" - "page thresholds" or whatever it's called set it to 50 or 100 replies and poof! most threads are still one page then it's only the big ass threads that are broken into more than one page and by the time a thread is over 100 replies long you've probably already read those ones anyway trust me! it makes things load a lot nicer She couldn't stop crying 'cause she knew he was gone to stay | |
