I don't think there is a thread on this yet - is there a possibility that the dark-grey bar that newly shows the number of the reply, could be a little brighter grey or even a little thinner? Especially when the reply is only one line, I find it slightly irritating.

I find the new set-up of the interface highly irritating, don't care about that grey bar.....the 'go to last reply' option is not working.....that just totally sucks....

This way, I know that I will skip all the posts and go straight to the end of the thread. People will say things that have already been said as they're less likely to read the posts in between. Also, because of this I'll probably delete all my accounts and move to Peru and never be heard from again, so there.

The grey bars look terrible. They totally mess up the harmony in the design and are completely unnecessary. Who fucking cares what number each reply has? And if it's so important to have it, couldn't that info have been found discreetly in the left column as usual?

More than that though, I hate the fact that you now have to scroll and click your way through a thread instead of just scroll through it. I'm assuming that each page is faster to load that way, but the huge hassle that it also brings makes the whole idea a very crappy one. In a matter of days you're going to be so sick of clicking that you'll just skip straight to the last page and ignore the majority of the posts.

These must be the most unmotivated and stupid changes ever made to the Org.

I must say, this format is the thing I get most frustrated with at the NPGMC. I will try to reserve final judgement about it here until I give myself time to get used to it. But I do agree that folks will tend to ignore most posts and just read the first and jump to the end...

I actually don't mind this set up because it's the same way at the Zeppelin site I go to. And the reason why the Jimmy Page photo thread is actually at 1,150 pages.
