The persons I mentioned are all well known in Europe, to anyone even slightly well educated (Aury was a famous critic and author; Paulhan was member of the Academie francais; Alain Robbe-grillet - well, everyone's heard of him, right?; Publius Ovidius Naso - extraordinarliy well known and influential poet - the 'little Latin' of Jonson's famous line consisted mostly of Ovid). You're just demonstarting the amazing ignorance of the average American about anything not on television or in the movies. And then you attack Hollywood inanities.
