BTW, PP4 over at the club said that this is an official "wish-list" used by Universal for sales purposes, and emphasized that nothing is confirmed yet. PP4 also said "We expected it to be leaked, because information from Universal always gets leaked".

Why Censorship?!
Is anyone offending anyone else? Is there a secret racial slur embedded in the 3121 info? Were there terrorist activities taking place?

Reminder: This forum's purpose is to discuss Prince. Anyone who has the privilage of being a moderator (and therefore a community leader) should not have to be reminded of this simple purpose.

If there is a concern over invalid information, make a NEWS forum for confirmed news only. If the 3121 info was posted in Prince: Music and More and is eventually found to be valid, it can simply be moved to the NEWS forum. If it turns out to be fake info, it turns out to be fake info. If you find yourself emotionally impaired due to the let down of fake Prince information, you may be taking your fandom too seriously. Have some perspective with your overcooked beef.

Even locking the 3121 info thread would have been inappropriate- it containted (possibly valid) new information. But to delete it is just COLD.

Tangerine17 doesn't want to post here anymore. This is someone with valid "inside" information who took the time to share. It was a rare thing because no one with Prince affiliation EVER gives us inside info. It took the vocal minority two weeks to alienate the man.
- First there were a few skeptics who think that their doubt is an invitation to posting something angry or insulting. If you doubt someone's authenticity then ask relevent questions, find facts that offer a different point of view, or just "change the channel" and ignore the thread altogether. Unprovoked aggression doesn't impress any reasonable person. Most of us are reasonable.
- Tangerine is conviced to ignore a few immature people, and continued posting info as it occured. Besides, "Ultimate Prince" information, he also shares info on the 3121 album's promotion. Although Fullasoul (who has a longtime rep amongst the fan community) confirmed Tangerine17's info; although Tangerine's 3121 cover art info is confirmed only one day later; and although Tangerine's info COULD have been false but still was cautiously accepted by a decent majority of the community- his thread is deleted without explanation. Tangerine's information, however, is confirmed as valid (an official universal wishlist) only a couple hours later by NPGMC.

What a waste of good information. What a waste of Tangerine17's time. And my time, because now I'm writing this. I don't have to put time into this post, but information control and censorship should be taken seriously even in a Prince fan forum. People must be free to discuss whatever they like (in the context of the forum they choose). Off topic posts should be moved to the appropriate board or a "general/any topic". Offensive posts, unprovoked anger, blatent illegalness, name calling, and harrassment should be deleted. After that its all fair game, even if *YOU* don't like it. To be free one must respect the freedom of others, as they also do for you. Else the system doesn't work.
(The "you" isn't specific as there are a few who this applies to)

If I'm wrong, let me know. But I thought Prince.org was a place where discussion takes place freely.
