The Org - A look at the past...

I vaguely remember the look of the 1st 2, but I remember the 3rd one. More like it is, now...

...and ten-mile-long threads, since all we could reply to were the news items! They would veer wildly off-topic, and you'd get carpal tunnel syndrome scrolling up and down trying to figure out what the hell everyone was talking about. lol

That's why "FIRST!" was such a BFD...there'd be 10,000 replies by the end of the day!

man, those were good times. although, i like the new org better i think.

there's more topics, and although they suck sometimes because a lot of
folks are getting more and more nasty, i can at least spend a whole day
at work without doing anything but reading the org these days

lol

back when the eye was still a pretty new feature and people
figured that as long as they used enough eye eye they would
be assumed to really be Prince

from the site FAQs:

Long ago (early 1990s), there was an e-mail list called the PML, (the Prince Mailing List), which changed ownership to became the PPML (the Paisley Park Mailing List). Eventually, a website was set up by a couple of volunteers to "archive" the past PPML mailings. In May, 1998, the archive site had a major harddisk crash, and went down. While recovering the data, the entire site was re-architected, and prince.org "v1.0" was publicly born on January 1st, 1999, offering much more than just archives of past PPMLs. "Version 2.0" was launched in February 2002, and added message boards and much more. "Version 3.0" came online in February 2004, with numerous enhancements and better web standards compliance.

Ahhh good times, good times. Everyone pretending to be everyone else in the chatrooms and all the stuff above.

Remember the old "We are prince.org and we are funky" page before getting to the homepage?

I remember posting my first ever news story and seeing it there on the homepage and thinking I've made it! lol

Dansa is on the ball with the I love Pizza comment! That used to crack me up and still does today

Good times, good times

nod thumbs up!
