I couldn't agree more. Some of these people who think they have a "right" to post whatever they feel like here would be well served to remind themselves that they are participants in a FREE website, COMPLETELY DEVOID OF ADVERTISEMENTS, created and maintined by 2 guys who do it for passion over profit; and who have the RIGHT to run thier site however they like.

Folks have a lot of nerve whining and complaining about a LUXURY, or how this place SHOULD be run. Maybe they could start thier OWN site and see what a real pain in the nuts it is to deal with this level of childish behavior 24/7, or to see how hard it is to do something like this without using any annoying banner or pop up ads.

Here you have only your opinions, NOT RIGHTS! Keep it up and they'll flush this thing down the toilet. Then where will you cry? They have rights too, and in this case, those are the ones that rule the day.

When the threads that were distasteful to me started to spring up in abundance, I was ticked at first. Then I followed the advice of some that said "If you don't like why do you read?" My life became so much easier.

Then again, I'm not Ben or Matt. Herbthe4 summed it up in the most respectful way possible.

For me, the problem wasn't the General Discussion forum itself. It was the 80% of the drivel that crowded the main page in the most active and new topics frame.

To top it off, the 20% of good posts that started to get going would eventually be ran off the 1st page by many many items that would probably now get locked.

I'm all for having fun with the forums. Hell, I started what might be the first controversal threads. But I went out of my way to make them somewhat On-Topic and very steerable into a a direction that may have meaningful discussion.

You all ahve to remember that Ben has to pay for every hit that this site takes. Every post takes up HD space, and while a text post may be small in size on it's own, when combined with hundreds of replies times hundreds of other posts, you can see why the quality of posts should be a focus of the moderators.

There are plenty of sites that offer unlimited discussion on any topic. You can get away with unlimted discussion in the chat if you'd like (well..for the most part).

anywho, there's plenty more to Prince.Org than being able to create a thread about how warm it feels when you wet your bed or how great it feels to unleash your bowels.

Again, I've had many great conversations with the "main offenders," and I appreciate the input they give when they aren't just dinkin around. I'm sure many other orgers do as well, and probably the admin too

It looks like Ben has finally had enough. I enjoyed the general discussin forum, and now there are rules we are going to have to abide by.

Ben kicks ass, and I am with him 100 percent. The nonsense must end, and opinions must be shared and debated in a civilized manner with understanding, rather than people yelling "fuck you" at each other.
