Of course, I know that some users who repeatedly get banned whatever account they create cos they're either not right in the head, can't stay away from brainless flaming, or both. Why even give these users the benefit of the doubt? When I've asked this question of mods before I have gotten the quite unsatisfying answer "well we can rarely be certain it really is said user, IF they let themselves be known AND misbehave again we'll ban them then. My question is: WHY, FOR HEAVEN'S SAKE? Why give repeated offenders the benefit of the doubt when they seem to be here mostly to stir shit up, insult people and be racists/sexists/haters? Of course at the moment I'm talking about the user 9mm who obviously is EvilWhiteMale. He hasn't done anything to hide it and he hasn't changed (as if ). Why let him stay? Why let people who just give the mods a shitload of work and grief stay? I'd accept the reasoning behind this gladly, but for the other end of the coin that we also get to hear a lot: "This ain't a democracy people. Deal with it." I love it that it's not, but it should mean that getting rid of multiple offenders should be easier. Surely no mods actually enjoys that shit?

wow- i saw your other post and i was gonna add this there ... but i will say it here since i just saw this ...

never realized he was that controversial ... i never had a problem with EWM or 9mm...sure he says stuff "off the cuff" to rile feathers ... but the flip side always seems to do that too ....

i guess i never saw some of his "racial " threads that got him banned ...

i will say this - and i have joked with some of the mods ... they are underpaid ...

Things like orgers visiting other orgers and both logging in on the same computer, or people impersonating others screenames (some are done in jest, others are done to cause trouble), etc... can make it difficult sometimes to be sure enough a user is who we think they are.
