a meet and greet part of the forum? U know a "introduce urself" thingy?

i think "introduce yourself" forums are a relatively new creature. at a bowie fan site i like, you have to post an intro thread on a similar forum before you're given the rights to post in the other forums. i think that's a really cool idea - i'd love to see that happen here.
