Anywho, an idea:

Most Active Topics/Newest Topics. Maybe for the home page these sections could not list any topics from the General Discussion?

I'm thinking that the average to super orger uses the full list of new posts anyway, and that the passer-byer might not care too much about if we talk about who's leaving the org this week, or how many cookies could we fit into Posh Spice's nooks and crannies. Well...maybe not the crannies, but at least the nooks!

Anyway, since the front page is a form of marketing (come see what the site has to offer!), maybe it could look more like a music discussion site and not like a teen chat room.

Personally, I think it could steer more topics toward music discussion because most people start crazy threads for attention that the home page can give.

I'm with you on that one.

This has been discussed here before, and my comment then (and now) is that I'm basically in favor of it... part of the reason it hasn't happened it because

a) I'm not 100% convinced yet (although threads lately are definitely making me more convinced)
b) I've been too lazy to change the way it works

Perhaps both of those will be resolved this weekend.
