I understand the kilobyte restriction, but what is the actual size allowed? 1 inch by 1 inch?

They should be a little bit bigger.....sig lines too. Some forums are out of hand though, like I've seen assholes put big ass pictures of themselves in their avatar and then one in their sig line taking up almost the whole page.....uncalled for.
