When Is the Picture Gallery Going to be Fixed

When is the owners of this site going to fix the Avators and the Picture Gallery. I'm trying to be patient but its becoming annoying when it never works. I like being a member it's really cool, but if things won't work, it makes you want to think about leaving the site as a member. Please fix the problem soon, so I can continue my membership and Prince Fan Experience! I'm not trying to be pushy but come on!!! pc typing

Many can now see the gallery again after weeks of inactivity. This was due (I believe) to a server problem, and some fix that was actioned.

I too could not see the gallery for a number of weeks, which as gallery moderator made my job a tad hard as im sure you can imagine. However, all is now well, and i've spent this past weekend occupying myself by scanning a whole host of new goodies.

If you haven't already done so, I'd suggest looking at your virus protection software (pop-up blockers etc) as these sometimes can cause problems along with other virus protection programs.

Apart from that, I'd send a polite message to the man behind the curtain begging for his help and further info...

For those Orgers who are still having problems viewing the Org gallery and avatars etc on the site,
it may be worth you taking the time to check out the following to see if it helps:

SYMPTOMS:
When you open a Web page, one or more pictures (graphics or images) may not be displayed.
Instead, a red X, or a placeholder, may appear in place of the images.

CAUSE:
This behavior can occur if one of the following conditions is true:

The Web page includes an image type that is not supported by Internet Explorer.

The Show Pictures check box is not selected on the Advanced tab of the Internet Options dialog box, or the Toggle Images.exe Web accessory was used to disable images in Internet Explorer.

The image is displayed based on a script, ActiveX control, cookie, Java applet, or HTTP referral information, and your computer or network is configured to block one or more of these features. For example, you may have Internet Explorer or Symantec Corporation's Norton Internet Security (NIS) or Norton Personal Firewall (NPF) 2002 configured to block one or more of these features.

Internet Explorer cannot determine the character set (also called code page or encoding) that is used by the Web page, or a file or registry key required to display the Web page with the appropriate character set may be missing or damaged. By default, Internet Explorer uses the character set that is specified in the HTTP content type that is returned by the server, the character set specified by the meta element in the Web page document, or your Encoding preference if no HTTP content type is returned by the server and no meta element is specified in the Web page document.

Those of you who are stil having difficulty viewing the Org gallery and site avatars may find the following worth trying/checking too if you haven't already done so.

There are possible conflicts with firewalls. I haven't found any issues within XP's firewall, but have come across conflicts with Norton Anti-Virus software in particular.

Within Norton, there are 2 options, security and privacy.

If you are unable to view images, double click your Norton Firewall icon in your toolbar and click the privacy button OFF.

This will allow full use of this site, and still provide you full protection from any unauthorized visitors.

When you leave the site, simply click it back ON.

ben also mentioned that your web browser (ie, internet explorer, netscape) might need to be upgraded if your still having issues viewing pics...

as far as the search engine goes ben disabled it in order to increase the speed of the overall site. i believe a server upgrade is in order (which is gonna cost green) to get the search function back.

im sure once ben has the monies and time to do the upgrade; he will....
